Flaming Fire (http://www.flamingfire.com) will be performing with The Centimeters, Pothole Skinny and Ford Wright; releasing a new book; showing a new cartoon; and having an art show Friday, August 16, at Galapagos -- thanks to Perhaps Transparent Records and Kaboom Press.

TIME: Doors Open/Book Party starts at 8 PM, Music Performances start at 9!
Flaming Fire goes on at midnight.
WHERE: Galapagos Art Space, 70 N. 6th St.
DIRECTIONS: http://www.galapagosartspace.com/directi...
HOW MUCH: $5

We've been hidden away at our secret compound for a LONG TIME, and we're really excited to show off all the stuff we've been working on. We won't have many shows until we finish the new album in a couple months, so I hope you can make it!

Here's everything that's happening:

1. Flaming Fire will perform several new songs, including "The Flaming Fire Anthem," "Gun through a Razor," "Cut the Reaper" and "I Love the Way (You
Kill Me)!" New styles of music, new outfits, new arrangements, and a new member (the amazing guitar attack of Jonny A)!

2. Kaboom Press Book Release Party for "Santa Klaus and the Bears" by Patrick Hambrecht. Thanks to publishers Steve Hamanahamana and Inju http://www.kaboompress.com

3. Art from the Flaming Fire Illustrated Bible Project will be projected, with new art by Theo Edmands, Dame Darcy, Danny Hellman and many more (see below for more details*)

4. Animation of our new scary band mascot (a la Eddie/Iron Maiden, Scary horned thing/Dio) "Cuniglius Cronk" by Lou Underwood will be projected as well!

5. The bill is:
9PM * FORD WRIGHT - a crazy genius whose famed performances often include elaborate sword and sorcery rock operas like "I, Medusa"!

10PM THE CENTIMETERS - combine the mood and feeling of Threepenny Opera with big futuristic 70s Klaus Schulze-ish
keyboards into a really great, weird rock band. I love seeing this band live! I've seen them three times, and it's
never the same.

11PM POTHOLE SKINNY perform cool psychedelic music that has been compared to folks like the Microphones, and combine rock/electronic/folk elements in adventurous, pretty (and often sort of scary) arrangements

12AM - FLAMING FIRE

6. Update on the Flaming Fire Talking Android Sage -- The Jungbot. The rumours are true -- Scientists at the FF Advanced Technologies Laboratory are working on a robotic sage that will preach, rhapsodize and converse with his listeners, sharing his amazing mechanical mystical wisdom. This is not a hoax. Chief Scientists Raphael Abrams and Adam Mayer will be on hand to explain the marvelous new technology currently being imployed for what will
be become the greatest feat of science -- ever.

7. The man responsible for organizing all this cool stuff is Gabriel Walsh at Perhaps Transparent, our new label! Thanks Gabe! http://www.perhapstransparent.com

8. If you haven't contributed to the Flaming Fire Illustrated Bible yet -- do it! You can upload your illustration online at http://www.flamingfire.com/bible.html or just bring it to the show, and we'll scan it in for you!

Artists who have contributed to the Flaming Fire Illustrated Bible Project include: Dame Darcy, Danny Hellman, Eric Reynolds, Ken Habarta, Lauren Weinstein, Adam Mayer, Alex Reshanov, Andrea Stevenson, Andy Ortmann, Blake Ferris, Brant Louck, Camilla Ha, Chris Guy, Cynthia Mitchell, Franky Pelvis, Giorgio, Jeff Conaway, John Mathias, Liz Armstrong, Lou Underwood, Mark Graham, Melissa Stemme, Mike Reddy, Miller DuVall, Muwen Pan, Patrick Hambrecht, Patrick Smith, R. Sikoryak, Sally Bashai, Scott Williams, Suzanne Fletcher, Tania, Theo Edmands, Theo Edmands and Adam Mayer, Tim Hodler, Tom Hart and Z Barowitz!
