Nope, the Andromeda doesn't have a sampler. It is an analog subtractive synthesizer, and a great one at that. In the right hands it can make some amazing sounds. I am saying "in the right hands" because it's not one of the easier synths to program (compared to say a Juno 60 for example), but eminently more flexible, with a helluva mod matrix.
