comment :: Martial Industrial
Can some one suggest a good example for this direction? I have an idea but I am not sure - there is no one I could ask here in PR - I am sure about that....

If you know of some free mp3 somewhere that would be great!

try these guys DER BLUTHARSCH they have MP3 samples thru TESCO (USA)..Tesco dist..has a whole section dedicated to martial music...if my memory serves correct it they DER BLUTH have some very cinematic type elements.i dont know all the much about them other than i liked some of what i sampled on tesco....also i think staalplat? and the LAIBACH stuff was thought to be martial in theory..at least i think reviews at the time of the "NOVA" release said something to that effect...

Hey thanks, that is a lot to investigate now - other than Laibach I didn't listen to any of those - even though at least 3 of the names are quite famous actually.....

If I do Martial Industrial it will be like all RI stuff anti war/nazi/idiot type of stuff! We are way opposed to any type of idiology that supports the creation of sinners who have to bleed for others. That does include the vatican too. We are opposed to any totalitarianism - also that imposed by big corporations on Nations in the developing world. With the help of the corrupt governments of course.....

But what we are absolutly opposed to is people who fly those flags just to create interest without even believing in that bullshit. Those people even suck more than those believing in that shit.......caus' they are FAKE!

As to martial industrial - I think bunkergate 7 comes pretty close allready even though it is also metal infested partially. I can't help it - the metal always comes out somewhere caus' I like it.
Just go to crtique and collab section and listen to the revamped version.

i have stated my position on the nazi/corporate thing already. i always wonder why some of these guys go in for that kind of stuff...i posted a reply(on a related site) to the effect if HITLER and the people who controlled him still around..how many of these bands would be making noise/power electronics/drone/even martial or would they meet the same fate as a lot of "subversive types" did in the late 30s/40s and be marched off to the "showers".i think one guy tried to say "if hitler was here today he would love power electronics" or something like that...maybe he was just trying to get a rise out of me...i cant believe anyone would believe that but...well..i dont thats all i can say..

I don't think it came out Martial - more like Power Noise meats EBM meats vocals......

But on the bottom of the RI page on soundclick there are some surprizes which I did not announce - it is called Homo sapiens ex machina - and even better, Lemminge. Maybe not martial, but hey, destructive.

cool track....but i have to admit...i still like CROWN OF EVOLUTION best...that said it takes me quite a while to get into a track!!!i have always been interested in what your set-up (music making wise) is. you get some serious thick sounds going on!

My set up is simple: Fruity Loops and Laptop. Lots and lots of VST effects. Some selected synthesizers only such as those which give analog type sound recently (minimogueVA for example). Also, lots of super-overdriven noise samples from some stuff that mostly is recorded accidentally as background noise between the vocals - I cut it out and use it, some distant barking dog becomes a Tornado :).

Crown Of Evolution is quite a nice track which is hard to get better or even to repeat. Tracks like that "happen" and one can hardly plan them without ripping oneself off by starting to sound the same in tracks ;).

Cheers, Kai

Good MI is damn hard to find these days, if you don't include the un-marchable ambiental stuff.
