Does anybody have experience with E-MU keyboard controllers? I've been looking into buying one. Lots of dials with pitch and Mod wheels, etc.
I'm kinda wondering how good they are though, as E-MU is not really one of the names I typically think of when talking keyboard controllers.
I run fruity loops, cubase, and some outboard gear now and then. Will I be able to access and control everything from the controller?
I'm somewhat interested in using it live, too; Any advice here would be helpful, even if it's recommending a better controller. :D

I intend to use this for everything from gritty industrial/experimental stuff to soundtrack-esque strings to traditional piano use, if that makes much difference.

i can tell you from experience the EMU controllers are nice. the keys are beefy and do NOT feel like a fucking toy. they have good response and a reall good feel. the controller is heavy and you wont go shooting it acroos the stage like the PILE OF SHIT M- AUdio Oxygen 8.

EMU has good controllers.
good interface and a good Display on the controller. Hard to beat.

Awesome. I don't have access to most gear before I buy it around here, so its good to hear that its a solid piece of hardware.
Its funny you mention the M-Audio. I was looking at one of those too, but the E-MU looked more to my liking. Guess I'll cross that one off my 'future purchases' list.

I use E-MU, and I've been very happy with it, my favorate controller by far, not to fancy and big, but good response, nice feel, and a bunch of knobs, I love knobs, screw sliders.
