I'm just looking for some advice in my situation: I really want to start making some industrial-rock style music. I'm a guitar/bassist with a few years experience with both. Aside from some amps and guitars all I've got is a beast Macbook Pro, which has Garageband and Absynth 5.0 on it. Basically, since I don't have much of a budget, and I'm in school most of the time, what are some ways to effectively make great sounding tracks. I also don't sing, so any heavy vocal effects might help. The styles I'm going for are Industrial, with a hint of Ambience, my main musical influences are: Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd (where ambience comes in), and Rammstein. The type of musical atmosphere I might also want is what is heard in "I am where it takes me" by Black Light Burns.
Any advice, ideas or help is appreciated.
