The XL-1 is built mainly for techno and industrial music. It should have been called the Orbit 3.

32 megs worth of sounds, great sounds almost all of which are usable, great filters, it's expandable right out of the box, it has programable arpeggiators (up to sixteen can be synced)

Effects are only alright, There are too many menus to scroll through, and it's orange.
