A reasonable and inexpensive software synth. Good feedback as to the sounds produced by twiddling the knobs, and it can output a sequence to a wav file for importing into your DAW.
The audio latency tends to be a little high, and the mixing algorithm is screwed up, so that each voice you add makes the sound of every individual voice that much quieter. It seems like this guy shouldn't be doing direct amplitude summing in his mixer...
This is probably worth the money if you already have an analog synth, and just want something else to putz with for creating loops and such.
