rating: 0/10
I'll not leave a rating because I've only had a minimal experience with it. But I will say that Korg probably make the best workstations out there. The effects on this are amazingly programmable, but the downside to this is that like most synth manufacturers, Korg lays em on heavily so as to mask weaknesses in the sampled waveforms. Try turning off the effects and giving a listen. The sequencer is great, the effects variety and programmability is awesome, and upgrade options are always good. But I think it's not worth its high price tag. One could get a B-stock Kurzweil K2000VP and the Es-1sampler and have surpassed this thing while saving about $1000. There's also Yamaha Ex7's floating around for around $900, and those have extensive sequencing capabilities, sampling, and can take new synthesis plug-ins like the vitual analog AN plug in and Fm synthesis plug in cards. Spend wisely...
