rating: 8/10
Excellent 8-track midi sequencer. Individual mutes for each track is a MAJOR bonus - allows fast and friendly live work, very intuitive, easy to use, cheap. Each track can hold multiple midi channel and controller data. gave it an 8 cos i wish it had more than 8 tracks, the buttons are a bit touchy, and you've got to save to tape. Instead of tape I save to WAV via sound forge, then burn the data onto cd and load the tracks in with a discman, far more reliable. Apparently it works with Alesis Datadisk, but I've yet to find one for sale. I agree that anyone bringing out a remake of this unit with maybe 16 tracks, better buttons and a disc drive would make a killing.
