I have found the arcDev plugins to be some of the best free noisemakers to be found out there in the Blue nowhere. The synths Mainliner and Colm II allow for many different options, much deeper than the usual synthedit created VST's. The Dubb Box delay is a very realistic tape delay emulation and the Stutterbug is a very effective grain delay.
