OECD 085 LARK BLAMES - Chimney CD
"Chimney" is the end result of a year of sporadic and inspired sessions of improvised music making
by Marc Blackie (of Sleeping Pictures)
and Lloyd James (of Naevus), both artists have already released one full album on OEC !
"Chimney" exemplifies a strict yet free approach to the creative process resulting in the collision
of humour with dense atmospheres.
For the making of these recordings the rules of performance were quickly chosen, a recording was
made immediately
after and the results were mixed to remain as faithful as possible to the original impetus.
The instrumentation used ranges across piano, naive percussion, guitar, broken synthesizer, detuned
accordion,
electronic treatments and abused microphones to produce pieces whose styles could be variously
described as
ambient, mock-power electronics, exotica...
but, for the most part, the pieces here simply defy description.
"Chimney" also includes guest vocals from the inimitable Rose McDowall (of Strawberry Switchblade,
Sorrow, Coil, etc)
on one track, while another track features vocals, samples and theremin courtesy of John Murphy
(of KnifeLadder, Shining Vril, SPK, The Associates, etc.).
"Chimney" is an essential testament to the power of spontaneous composition.

OECD 089 TROUM - Shutun CD
Finaly the acclaimed German duo is going for their first full-legth release on OEC !
This is, as they say, their most complex work to date made mixing 25 different tracks into one
unique long (over 50 muinutes) composition !
It's also their first full length album since Tjukurpa 3 dated 2003 ...
Troum (ancient german word for "Dream") aim is to lead the listener into a hypnotizing dream-state
of mind,
and use music as the direct path to the uUnconscious pointing to the archaic essence of human psyche
!
TROUM works for creat alterated states of mind , they work on human unconscisus sphere ...
Their post-industrial drone music is created using a wide range of instruments like : guitar, bass,

"Temple of Flesh" is based on an Invocation of Rapture from A-M-F's "Blood Sun Rising" Rituals
(2003-004).
The text of this invocation has been translated into
12 languages, and sculpted into a dark electronic abyss.
Ritual drones are the framework for haunting invocations and chants, which are supported by the
seductive mantras of Zaskia Morgan.
Bombastic drums and instruments connected with hooks into the skin of the ritual participants are
also sound sources for this release.
Elegantly packaged in a DVD case, Temple of Flesh comes with 6 double-sided cards reflecting the
essence of an A-M-F ritual.
The cards are printed on a beautiful, heavy weight paper.
The "10 Years of Public Deprogramming" edition is accompanied with DVD-r "Blood Sun Rising" a
reflection of A-M-F's ritual
tour focused on the "Temple of Flesh" invocation. (not youth free, blood, sonique body modification,
nudity, animal parts and orgiastic violence)
It also comes with old A-M-F propaganda and a CDR of remixes and unreleased material,
documenting the Sonique Evolution through the 10 Year History of Aesthetic Meat Front/Foundation.

As with all A-M-F releases there is also an extremely limited collectors edition " Flesh Box"
Including all the above plus scripts from public rituals, and propaganda posters socked in cow

skull and bone fragments and other remains from previous rituals.
Yet most intriguing part of the Flesh Box is a surprise of un-released material from the A-M-F
archives,
such as original video tapes from early A-M-F rituals, cdrs with, raw sound sources, cassette tapes,
and floppy discs of songs and sounds.
All this is packaged in a wound covered skin jacket, hand sculpted by Louis Fleischauer.
