review :: noise therapist .02
That’s right, boys and girls... Cracksteel, can you believe it? Crack fucking Steel! I haven't heard anything from him in a long time... He is a manager of a club in Tokyo that is a bit sympathetic to noise, so he has very little time for his own creations or at least so I am told. This was originally released on Solipsism and has been sold out for a while. Let’s face it the best way to describe this would be to paraphrase Jason... "This took a while, but it sounds way better. Fuck, I'd forgotten how awesome the Cracked One gets. Our boy serves up twenty-seven solid minutes of constantly-evolving butt-whooping brainflush entitled, most appropriately, "Imperial Torture". Flashes of deafening austerity whirl and whip around the head at five million noisegasms a second. Fucking brilliant..." With the other artist on the split saying that, how in fucks name is it that you don't own this!?!?! I have tried feverishly to pick up all the Cracksteel I could and this make a perfect addition. Plus, TADM's sounds will have you convinced that they don't release as half has much as they should. Their two tracks are pumped up with over thirty minutes of think musty, conventional static destroying absurdity. This is beyond a doubt, one of the very best CDrs that I have heard. My copy even comes with an extra TADM tack and the entire Tokyo Orthodox Noise Choir performance that was held at my dedication show and recorded Live on June 30, 2002 entitled Channel 52. It includes yours truly as the conductor and abruptly converting into a hardcore vocal asshole by the end of the performance. Jason, Thanks a lot for the treat.
