Skryxl remind me of the Oxes, with their brand of noisy, yet very cohesive post-rock/ noise rock. Like the Oxes, they sound like they come from more of a math-rock, technical background than much of their slower, droney, Mogwai influenced brethren, and their jams are tight as hell yet loose in that awesome improv way. But unlike the Oxes, Skryxl seem to actually be improv, which makes it way more impressive, considering how well put together it sounds. At certain points while listening to " Everything Looks Better On Fire" I'm reminded of sloppy Fugazi fucking Shellac which for me, is actually a pretty awesome thing. Pretty soon Skryxl will probably be on some pro indie label, so download this slab of cool noiserock/ post-rock while you can!
